Muhammad Zafran Abdul Salam obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in 2018 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019. He completed his pupillage at Messrs Nik Saghir & Ismail, where he was exposed to corporate, litigation, and conveyancing matters, and also served under the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK) for criminal legal aid duties.
Zafran began his legal career as a Legal Associate at Messrs Chambers of Firdaus, where he was involved in commercial and construction dispute litigation. He handled various aspects of litigation, including preparing pleadings, affidavits for interlocutory applications (such as summary judgment, striking out, and discovery), written submissions, notices of appeal, and conducting hearings, trials, arbitration, and adjudication.
In 2022, he returned to Messrs Nik Saghir & Ismail as a Legal Associate in the Conveyancing and Corporate Department, where he continues to serve. His conveyancing portfolio includes preparing Sale and Purchase Agreements, loan and charge documents, Deeds of Assignment, tenancy agreements, and handling auction sales and perfection of transfer/charge cases for clients such as Maybank, Bank Rakyat, Ambank, Public Bank, and Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia. He also handles discharge of charge and reassignment matters.
In the corporate sector, Zafran provides legal opinions on concession agreements, compiles due diligence reports, and drafts commercial website documents such as terms and conditions, privacy policies, and return policies.
Zafran is fluent in both English and Malay and brings with him a combination of litigation and transactional experience, serving both individual and corporate clients.
